Southampton bingo hall raises money for charity

The Southampton bingo hall players and staff are proud of the amount earned for charity.
Gala Bingo in Lordshill has been taking active part in the national drive to raise money worth £1m for the Sue Ryder Care in games halls throughout the UK. The Southampton branch has raised £756 charity this month by holding regular prizes draws and tombolas with the branch total at more than £1,500.
Committee fundraiser Sue Cooper said that the overall response from local businesses and the usual players was overwhelming, with prizes provided by them. The first prize was a two person break to Bruges. This was a superb prize offered.
The Southampton bingo hall branch has also offered a donation for up to 35 people to play paintball (worth £550). However, Sue Cooper said that many people who play uk bingo there may not be very good at playing paintball hence, they are willing to take up a donation for it from any group or workplace.
