Living in Bootle, a kind hearted woman, who does not want to reveal her identity, won more than £50,000. She won this whooping amount playing at the Buckingham Bingo in Bootle.
£1,000 of her prize money was donated to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and another £1,000 was donated to Breakthrough for Breast Cancer.
Buckingham Bingo is planning to raise £20,000 in the year 2009 as a part of the Bingo for Breakthrough initiative. In order to raise the required money, members from all the 11 clubs in Buckingham have participated in various events ranging from sponsored treks and selling cakes.
The generous woman plays regularly, up to four times a week, in the afternoon at the bingo hall in Bootle.
