Unwilling Bingo player scoops £57,000
A man who was dragged along to play Bingo by his girlfriend and her mother has won a whopping £57,000 jackpot prize. The winner, who requested he remains unidentified, won the High 5 reward at the Gala Bingo club on Kettering High Street. It was his fourth try when he won the prize.
He said that he was in shock following the win. He knew that he had won £8,500 in favour of the full house prize. However, he did not understand he had won the jackpot until everybody around him started cheering and shouting. He also said that his girlfriend and her mother were regular bingo players. His girlfriend thought he was extremely lucky to have won, especially as he was a newcomer.
Durwin Reay, Manager with Gala Bingo in Kettering believed it was marvellous that someone new to the game had won. Everybody in the club was completely thrilled over the win.
This story goes to show that anyone can hit the jackpot at Gala Bingo. Ever since the High 5 started, some real success stories have been seen in the game and the present win is certainly one of them.
