Understanding the language of Bingo
Bingo is one of the most loved games around and has been increasing in popularity day after day. Like most other games, Bingo also has a language of its own that is used by its players while playing the game. The language of Bingo may seem unrecognisable if you are new to the game making it difficult to understand.
A Bingo board is common sight in every game of Bingo. This board is used to display numbers that have been called out during the game. Like the board, a Bingo booklet is also an important part of the game. The booklet consists of Bingo sheets, which are used to play the game. There is a special pen used by Bingo players called the dauber that helps you black out a number with a single touch.
The caller is the host of the game who is the person who calls out the numbers during the game. An on-player is any player who is just one number short of winning the game. The game of Bingo is also played in various patterns. Each pattern is known by a different name, giving the game its own individuality. For example, four corners Bingo is one such game pattern where the winner is the one who manages to cover numbers at the four corners of the card.
The term wrap up denotes the end of a Bingo session. This is normally used for quick Bingo games. You can also have moonlight Bingo which is normally played in the evening and Early bird Bingo games, which are the games that begin before the normal Bingo schedule.
