Posh Bingo Network raises a Fortune for Charity
Posh Bingo and their partners at the Joy of Bingo network are celebrating this week as they donate over £31,000 to Breast Cancer Care. After the network pledged to raise £20,000 for the charity in 2012 with the help of their bingo sites they smashed the target and managed to achieve over 50% more than they promised.
Joy of Bingo is a popular affiliate network which Posh is a member of and they’ve been running promotional charity games throughout the year in the hope that they’d hit their target of £20,000 for Breast Cancer Care. In total the network donated £31,274 to the charity which provides treatment, support and information to those living with breast cancer. A representative of the network told the press that their Pink Fridays promotion, which ran across all their sites in October including Posh, really helped raise awareness and got people thinking about the charity in question. Of course there was also £5,000 of 75 ball prizes up for grabs too but the network and their partners truly believe that they were able to raise awareness too.
The great thing about charity games organised by the network and their linked sites is that the prize money is not affected so players don’t feel like they’re losing out. In fact, in most cases the cash raised came from the money spent on tickets or through pledges the network made to match jackpot prizes with a donation to their chosen charity. The £1k Strawberry Tea promotion was another of their fabulous games which raised further funds for the charity.
Working with charity is a great way of online gaming sites giving something back as well as adding something extra to their games – with players able to feel they’re doing a good thing through just playing their favourite games. Congratulations to Posh Bingo, the whole network and its members for their efforts in raising such a fab sum.
