Bingo sites have always had a large number of people doing crazy things. The latest news is that a bunch of 24 people from the Gala Bingo sites are going to be playing on Mount Everest. These people are from in and around Britain and are going out there to break the record of the world’s highest game of bingo.
Mark Simm manages the Gala Bingo site around the British area. Mark Simm is from Wigan, the 42 year old is a passionate bingo follower and he, along with his team, will be climbing Mount Everest to break the record.
The team of 24 bingo fans will be starting their trek from Lukla on the 19th of October. If everything goes as per the plan, they will reach the base of Mount Everest by 24th October. On the same day, they will start playing the high altitude bingo games to break the world record.
Mark, along with his team, has been practicing to play at a height by playing above St. John’s Beacon Observation Tower. The Tower is over 400ft high and they have been practicing hard to get used to playing at a height.
The aim of the team is not only to break the world record but have also promised to raise £100,000 on behalf of the Sue Ryder Care charity. This charity works for people, who suffer from cancer, brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, etc.
