Online bingo sites go all out for advertising
In recent news, two major online bingo websites from the United Kingdom, William Hill Bingo and 888ladies have appointed advertising agencies for the promotion of their online bingo games and products.
The £6 million pound advertising account of 888.com has been offered to Grey London media agency. The agency will create a completely new range of campaigns for 2009 to promote and advertise its online bingo website 888Ladies and its online poker website Paradise Poker across the United Kingdom.
The reins of William Hill have been taken over by Grey London from CHI & Partners, who lost out in a renewal bid. The recent TV campaign of the gaming website featured popular English comedian Vic Reeves dressed as an 888 Lady and promoting the 888 Ladies online bingo website.
In January, William Hill Bingo had become the sponsors of The Real Deal, a show on ITV. Earlier in 2008, they had sponsored another show, Spin Star on the same channel. Sponsoring a show has become a popular promotional vehicle for most online bingo sites, with Wink Bingo sponsoring All Star Family Fortunes in September last year.
With statistics showing, that more and more people play online bingo, it’s little wonder that most bingo websites have increased their advertising budgets.
