Online Bingo-Its history and present state
With the internet becoming easily and cheaply accessible to everyone, online gaming is becoming increasingly popular. Bingo is a type of online gambling game which is very popular with internet users. Bingo however has a long history.
An Italian Lotto game which was popular in Europe in the 15th century, is supposed to be the originating point of the present online gambling game Bingo. Later on, the French modified the game and by 18th century, Bingo was played by almost everyone in Europe. Bingo then spread farther to the US in the 19th century, where the game was used to generate money.
The basic point of difference between online Bingo and offline Bingo is that in offline Bingo, cards are held in hand, while in online Bingo, cards are displayed on the screen. When numbers are crossed or declared, they are displayed on the screen. Thus the computer plays all the crucial parts of the game and you play with the computer.
To win the offline game the player has to fill five successive blocks in either a row or in a diagonal sequence, after the completion of which he calls out Bingo. In the online version of Bingo, however, there are two options-
1. After accepting the player to be the winner, the computer declares Bingo.
2. The player declares Bingo before anyone else and claims his winning amount.
In Bingo the scope of winning is great, but only if you know how to play. Thus reading the instructions, available online, before you set out to play is very important.
