Mecca Bingo battle Gala Bingo to aid Charity
Gala Bingo and Mecca Bingo are both well know for the time and effort they put into raising money for their chosen charities. Gala Bingo have pledged to their favoured charity, Sue Ryder Care that they will raise £1.5 Million by the end of 2010. Mecca Bingo is also hoping to raise enough money for their preferred charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care to pay for 10,000 hours of home nursing care also by the end of 2010.
Mecca Bingo and Gala Bingo Join Forces!
Mecca Bingo and Gala Bingo will therefore, both be going head to head on Monday the 30th of August in a five aside friendly football match to help raise money for both of their chosen charities. If you would like to go and show your support then head on over on the day to the Stonehouse Recreation Ground in Plymouth, PL1 3SF. The footie match will kick off at 1.00pm however; Mecca Bingo and Gala Bingo will also be holding a fete that will include a book store, raffle and much more. Charity Money to be Split Between Two worthy Causes…. All the money that Gala Bingo and Mecca Bingo manage to raise on the day will be split between Sue Ryder Care and Marie Curie Cancer Care. Sue Ryder Care helps provide compassionate care and support to people living with life threating conditions such as cancer and Marie Curie Cancer Care provide end of life care totally free for people in their own homes or in one of their own hospices. David Gregory-Clements the manager of Gala Bingo Derry Cross has said “It’s really gaining some momentum now and we’re all looking forward to the day. This five-a-side tournament not only allows us to generate a bit of friendly rivalry between the local bingo clubs but also to do something really positive for both of our charities. We are all hoping the day will be well supported. May the best team win!”
