Mecca Bingo, The Rank Group has recently reported their short term management report for the 3rd quarter of 2009 with an encouraging trading performance in the 14 weeks to the 4th of October. The Group revenue has also increased by 2% compared to the 14 week period during 2008.
the Rank Group owned online bingo website has shown a modest rise in annual revenue despite the fall in customer visits. The Rank Group has stated that income from Mecca Bingo has increased by 3% compared to the similar 14 week period during 2008.

This rise was partly due to the alterations in bingo taxation announced during the 2009 Budget that has inflated the revenue while reducing the operating profit.
The business’s annual revenue increased by 1% in the period whereas customer footfalls declined by 3%. The average spend per customer has also increased by 4%. This can possibly be due to the new and improved gaming machine range from Mecca Bingo.
The newest concept at Mecca Bingo’s Nottingham based ‘Full House’ club at Beeston has been performing quite well and it is presently the biggest bingo club according to customer footfalls in its neighbourhood market. Encouraged by the performance of the Beeston Bingo hall, Mecca Bingo is planning to re-launch their Catford club following a ‘Full House’ conversion in December.
