Mecca Bingo Buddy 2010 Is Crowned
Mecca Bingo players flocked to their bingo hall in Wednesbury on Monday the 22nd of March for the exciting final of Mecca Bingo Buddy of the Year 2010. All of the regional finalists were in attendance as well as well wishers and the regular Wednesbury Mecca Bingo club players.
And The Winner Is…………….
Lorraine Kelly from GMTV left the famous sofa on Monday so that she could help judge the competition, and boy didn’t she have her hands full, with so many worthy winners already in the final. In the end after much deliberation there was one clear winner who was announced as……VALERIE HARKIN from Glasgow. Congratulations to Valerie from all the gang at Sunlight Bingo
Valerie was nominated by her close friend and colleague Alan Young who she first befriended at their local Mecca Bingo club, Valerie and Alan then went on to start a successful cleaning company together which turned Alan’s life around as when they originally met he was experiencing a very ‘low’ period in his life. All of the members at Mecca Bingo in Glasgow have nicknamed Valerie ‘ Mother Teresa’ due to the fact that she is so caring and always wanting to help others.
Valerie was very tearful upon being crowned the winner and said “It is difficult to take it all in, things like this don’t really happen to me” she then went on to say “I felt there were people out there that deserved it more than me.” Ahh, all of us at Sunlight Bingo think you are a worthy winner Valerie.
Mediterranean Cruise for Two
Valerie not only won the title of Mecca Bingo Buddy of the Year 2010 but also bagged herself a luxury cruise for two around the Mediterranean, the only hard choice she will have now is deciding who take with her. Have a fabulous time Valerie!
